Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Virginia; September 16, 2010: The Patron-in-Chief MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, The Patron MQM USA & Canada Ibad Rehman, The Central Organizer MQM USA Kamal Zafar, and the members of the Central Organizer Committee MQM USA, have offered their profound and heartfelt condolence, on behalf of workers and supporters of MQM USA, to the leader of MQM and the workers of MQM on the assassination of the Convener MQM Dr. Imran Farooq and have said that the death of Dr. Imran Farooq has created an immense gap that is not going to be easily filled. The Convener of MQM Dr. Imran Farooq was assassinated this evening while he was taking a walk in front of his residence in London. The condolence was offered in a statement that was issued after an emergency telephonic meeting held by MQM USA and was attended by the Patron-in-Chief MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the Patron MQM USA & Canada Ibad Rehman, the Central Organizer MQM USA Kamal Zafar, and the members of the Central Organizer Committee MQM USA. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said, while elaborating on the life of Dr. Imran Farooq, that the life of Dr. Farooq is a role model for every political worker and his whole life is marked with struggle, resolve, and principles on which he remained up till his last breath. Ibad Rehman said that Dr. Imran Farooq lived among the workers and died to meet thousands of martyred workers of MQM. The Central Organizer MQM USA Kamal Zafar said that Dr. Imran Farooq will live among us forever, in our hearts, and in our minds. He further said that the workers and supporters of MQM USA and all the workers of MQM globally do understand that this is a great loss for the nation, for MQM, and especially for the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain; however, he said that the workers and supporters of MQM USA and the workers of MQM globally are standing at this time of test. He further added that each and every worker will add to the strength of the leader of MQM and will stand to his orders in thick and thin. The office-bearers of MQM North America also offered their condolence to the family of Dr. Imran Farooq and prayed to the Allah for the best abode for him in the highest levels of paradise. They also hoped that the culprits will be brought to justice soon.
