Participants
gathered for the breakfast in the main hall at 10:00AM. At 11:00 AM all the
participants were taken to a city tour that included a visit to historical Saint
Louis Arch, which was built in 1963 in remembrance of President Thomas
Jefferson. This trip also included a visit to Saint Louis Museum of history, a
visit to Mississippi river and the national Cathedral. A tour bus was arranged
by the local unit.
Later, all the participants have visited Mr. Haider's residence who's the member
of Saint Louis unit committee and currently seriously ill. Participants stayed
with him for half-an-hour.
Participants arrived back at the convention center around 5:00 PM and reassemble
at the hall at 7:00 PM for the next phase. All the wings and the units of the
MQM United States, the Central Organizer and the central organizing committee
have presented their performance reports to the Deputy Convener Dr. Khalid
Maqbool Siddiqui. Most of the reports were computer aided and projected on the
screen. The participants unanimously decided to rank Washington DC unit based on
their performance during the last one year. This session ends at dinner around
10:00 PM.
Final session started after the dinner around 11:00 PM and Dr. Khalid Maqbool
Siddiqui addressed the participants for over an hour. Dr. Siddiqui congratulated
the Saint Louis Unit committee in journal and Its Incharge Moid Siddiqui in
particular for their wonderful arrangements of the convention and for their
hospitality. Dr. Siddiqui pointed out the weaknesses of the MQM USA structure
and also appreciated the good work during last several months.
Central Organizer Ibad U. Rehman announced that the next annual convention will
be held in Los Angeles California on Aug 1, 2 and 3, 2003.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui formally announced the closure of the convention
around midnight.
