MQM's Sports & Recreation Wing of Washington DC has held an
evening with legendary Pop Star Alamgir and renowned poet Ms. Gulnar Afreen
to celebrate Dr. Ishrat Ul Ibad's appointment as the Governor of Sindh.
Alamgir performed non-stop for over three hours and amused the jam pack
audience with his greatest hits like "Hum chalain tau hamaray sung sung
nazaray chalain" and "Dekha na tha kabhi hum nay yeh sama". Ms. Gulnar
Afreen recited her famous poems including "Hamari koi zameen nahi kiyun" and
"Aye Quaid-e-Azam dekh zara tu apna Pakistan".
MQM USA's Central Organizer Ibad Ur Rehman, members of the central
organizing committee Sabih Ul Islam, Ajaz Siddiqui, Farhat Khan, members of
the Muttahida Sports & Recreation Wing and the members of the MQM Washington
units were amongst those who have attended the gathering.
Member organizing Committee Mr. Ajaz Siddiqui on behalf of the MQM USA
extended his thanks to the audience and the performers and greeted them for
Eid, New Year, Christmas and the appointment of the new Governor in Sindh
belonging to the MQM. |
