Detroit's unit Iftar Dinner.
MQM Detroit Unit organized Iftar Dinner with Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui,
Deputy Convener MQM on 23rd of Nov 2002. Present on the occasion were members of MQM USA Central Organizing Committee
and office bearers of MQM Detroit Unit. Large number of Indian Muslims also
attended the Iftar Dinner with Pakistani Community living in Detroit.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui highlighted the present
political situation in Pakistan, feudal system and its consequences and the
situation of Muslims in Indo-Pak after the division of sub-continent.
In his detailed speech, he spoke about the factors behind MQM's creation. Its
philosophy and motive and the role of MQM in Pakistani Politics. He said that
feudal system is the enemy of Pakistan which has been the obstacle in the
economic progress of the country. He also said that only middle class and
educated leadership can solve the basic problems faced by Pakistan and they can
bring the change in the lives of common Pakistanis.
By addressing large number of Indian Muslims, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said
that with the division of subcontinent, Muslim living here were also divided and
were totally disintegrated. He said that, two Nations Theory the basic ideology
on which Pakistan was created, lost its validity just after the creation of
Pakistan. He urged the Indian Muslims to raise their voice in favor of their
brothers living in Pakistan.
People asked different questions from Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Deputy
Convener MQM, in open forum regarding Pakistan's political situation, its future
and the role of MQM in the coming days. Before that members of Central
Organizing Committee requested the large gathering present in Iftar Dinner to
