Mr Altaf Hussain, Founder and Leader of Muttahida
Quami Movement (MQM), has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks upon
USA. In a letter sent to US President George W Bush, Mr. Hussain on
behalf of the MQM and millions of his supporters condemned the cowardly
and brutal terrorist attack upon different places in the United States
including the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in
Washington. Mr Hussain prayed for the victims and their families and for
the early recovery of those wounded in these attacks.

Mr Altaf Hussain, founder and leader of Muttahida
Quami Movement (MQM), has asked his office bearers and followers in USA
not only to donate blood themselves but also organize the community to
donate blood to save the lives of the victims’ of the brutal and
cowardly terrorists attack on the United States of America.
Mr Hussain has appealed to his followers living in the United States of
America to come forward at this testing time and national catastrophe
faced by the people of the United States of America as a result of the
terrorist attack on America.
MQM ESTABLISHES CENTRES IN NEW YORK AND
WASHINGTON TO DIRECT RELIEF OPERATIONS FOR THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA
Washington DC – September 13, 2001
On the instructions of Mr. Altaf Hussain, founder
and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), the units of the MQM in
New York City and Washington mobilized its workers and the community to
join hands and work shoulder to shoulder with the American people in
their hours of unprecedented crisis stemmed from the “Attack on America”
by the terrorists.
The office bearers of the MQM units and its charitable and social
offshoot, the KKF offered its services to the Red Cross Centers,
Salvation Army and other Social and Charitable organizations in New York
State and Washington D.C. A delegation headed by Dr Khalid Maqbool
Siddiqui, Deputy Convener of the MQM and a former Federal Minister of
Pakistan assisted by Mohammad Arif Siddiqui, former Member of the
Provincial Assembly of Sindh province and a Member of the MQM
Co-ordination Committee Ibad U. Rehman visited several hospitals and the
offices of the Red Cross to organize donation of blood by the workers of
the MQM and the community throughout the USA.. |
