MQM Florida, arranged a
program in the memory of Tsunami Victims in Orlando

On January 22, 2005 at the Passage To India restaurant, Florida.
Orlando: On Sunday, January 22, 2005, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Florida,
organized a program in the memory of Tsunami victims at Passage to India
restaurant, Orlando, where a large number of people attended the gathering.
Ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Sikander Ahmed. Saeed
Akhtar, In-charge of Contact committee Orlando, welcomed the audiences and
described the purpose of this program.
Kamran Haider Unit In-charge of S. Florida Unit thanked the dignitaries and
supporter and explained the details that how Quaid-e Tehreek Altaf Hussain &
Khidmat-e-Khalq Committee reacted after this disaster & took immediate action of
Relief work by donating Cash & Goods for about 15 Millions Rupees from Pakistan,
USA, Canada, London, South Africa & other parts of the world.
Farhat Khan, member of Central Organizing Committee highlighted the role of MQM
as a revolutionary organization, and explained in detail about the K.K.C. While
doing the introduction he quoted a Hadith “The greatest prayer of all is to
serve humanity”. Farhat Khan thanked the supporters especially Khidmat-e-Khalq
committee’s in charge for Washington DC Unit, Uncle Riaz Siddiqui who was
visiting Florida, Arif Rajan, Mairaj Ali, Shaam Kumar, Saleem Khan, Tahir Khan,
Harris Usmani, Sherjeel Pasha, Shahnaz Saigal baji and Shahana baji.
Kamran Haider did effective comparing of this program. He urged the participants
to take part for the support of Tsunami victims and help MQM’s KKC to serve for
humanity. Participant’s respond was overwhelmed and they gave generous support
to KKC’s efforts for Tsunami victims. Food was served after the program.
MQM USA's Central Organizer Ibad Ur Rehman and the central organizing committee
have commended and admired all those who had participated in the organizing of
this gathering.
