USA Launches Its Political Action Committee
(PAC) for Election 2006.

MQM USA's
central organizing committee has formed a setup
for MQM USA's political action committee (PAC)
to play an organized and effective role in the
upcoming mid-term U.S elections 2006. This has
been announced by Central Organizer,
and endorsed by MQM North America's care taker
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi.
The committee is headed by senior MQM member
Ibad U. Rehman and includes a team of senior
members and supporters of the MQM in Los Angeles
, Pennsylvania, New York, Houston, Detroit, Connecticut,
Washington DC and New Jersey. |

Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain, during
his telephonic address to over 20 stations in USA and
Canada congratulated Central Organizer and
his team on the recently announced selection of Imad Ur
Rehman of Washington DC as a technology advisor to newly
elected Virginia Governor Tim Kaine. He said that now
MQM USA is better then ever with regards to its
organizational activities, spreading of ideological
message, organizing the party in all corners of USA and
by entering into the mainstream political arena. He
instructed MQM USA to keep on doing the great work for

Chicago Holding a Public Seminar on Capital Punishment

MR. W. M. Robert Schultz, the Death Penalty
Program Coordinator for Amnesty International will visit
Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Central Office Chicago on
11th May,2003 at 6.00pm to address the community on the
topic of "Capital Punsihment". This public gathering is
being arranged by MQM Chicago unit. According to unit in
charge Mr. Tariq Siddiqui, this seminar would be
beneficial to the human rights activists, public service
volunteers, social and political workers in order for
them to gain more knowledge on this extremely important
human right's issue. Admission is free, however it is
highly recommended to reserve seats in advance by

Minister and MQM's deputy convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool
Siddiqui discusses regional issues with Chairman Foreign
Committee, Senator Lugar in Washington DC.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool attends the
conference at the US senate regarding the Global
Partnership against Weapons and Materials of Mass
Destruction. The conference was also attended by the
Norwegian Foreign Minister Jan Petersen and Senator
Richard Lugar, as well as two panels featuring
representatives from the United States, Russia, France,
Canada and Norway. Dr. Khalid Maqbool shared his views
on the regional issues with Senator Lugar. "We are
deeply sensitive to our security. However, we, indeed,
cannot ignore the fact that the 21st century requires a
greater focus on human development". Said Dr. Siddiqui. |
