Asian network (SAN), on Sunday, February 21st,
2010, supporting its Community Health Action
Initiative (CHAI) Health Fair. To show
solidarity with CHAI, Ishtiaq Hasan, Neelofar

volunteered in the Health Fair organized by SAN.

of the Suicidal Attack on Chehlum (Religious) Procession

Chicago; Feb 10, 2010: MQM Chicago held a
meeting last week to observe the Day of Mourning
(Yaum-e-Sog) for the victims of the suicidal
bomb blast and attack on the Chehlum procession
(religious ritual) in Karachi on January 28,
this year. The meeting was attended by the Joint
Central Organizer Junaid Fahmi, Patron MQM
Chicago Wakeel Jamali, and office bearers and
workers of MQM Chicago. The meeting was opened
by the Chapter Incharge Sohail Shams.

Washington DC where the Spanish Prime Minister
Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero delivered a major
policy address before the Atlantic Council. The
Spanish Premier’s visit to Washington DC came at
the start of Spain’s EU presidency.

Seven MQM
Martyrs laid to rest
KARACHI:
Seven activist of the Muttahida Quami Movement, who were
killed in yesterday’s blast at Jinnah Hospital, were
laid to rest at Azizabad graveyard on Saturday. The
funeral prayers of the martyrs were offered at Jinnah
Ground adjacent to MQM Head Office Nine Zero. The
deceased include Saddar Town Union Council Nazim
Muhammad Khali, Unit Committee Line Areas member
Muhammad Shafi, Ghulam Murtaza, Jami, Muhammad Kashif
and Shahid. They were buried at MQM martyrs graveyard.

condemnation meeting last Sunday that was attended by
