Karachi Will Always Remain Vulnerable to the Dangers like “Aligarh & Qasba Colony Mishap” Until the Talibans and Talibanization are not Eliminated: MQM USA
Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Los Angeles; December 14, 2009: Even after 23 years of the “Aligarh and Qasba Colony Mishap” Karachi and its inhabitants are still facing the dangers of the same kind and magnitude in the form of Talibans and Talibanization. This was said by the Central Organizer Kamal Zafar and the members of the Central Organizing Committee MQM USA in a statement issued on the day which reminds of a horrendous incident that took place in 1986 in the locality of Aligarh Colony and Qasba Colony, Karachi and claimed hundreds of innocent lives of the people of Karachi. The office bearers of MQM USA said that the insensible and indiscriminate killings of the people of Karachi is not a new thing in the history of Karachi as the people of Karachi have always stood for truth and against injustice since the inception of the country and they are still vulnerable to these type of incidents in future if the issue of Talibans and Talibanization will not be taken care of. They further said that the issue of Taliban and Talibanization has made Karachi to sit on the mouth of a volcano for which the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain has been pointing out for a while. They said that, however, MQM and its workers are determined under the leadership and guidance of the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain to brave all dangers not only faced by Karachi but also the other parts of the country which are facing same sort of dangling swords due to the conspiracy of feudal lords, religious clerics, and bureaucracy. They also prayed to Almighty God for a peaceful and eternal abode for all the martyrs of ‘Aligarh and Qasba Colony Mishap” and also for all those who lost their lives for truth and justice and who fell victim to the bomb blasts and the recent wave of terrorism in Pakistan.
