The Confession and Apology Do not Satisfy the Grief and Anger of the Bereaved families: MQM USA

Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; New York; August 24, 2009: The mentality behind the massacre of 15000 innocent people during the Operation 1992 was the same which was behind the massacre of half a million innocent Muslim Bengalis brothers at the time of the Dhaka fall in 1971. This was said by the Patron-in-Chief MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui while addressing to a huge tele-conference which was attended by the office bearers and workers of MQM USA from all over USA. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui further added that the confession and apology does not satisfy the grief of the bereaved families at all and demanded of the highest official of Pakistan to institute an inquiry commission on Operation 92 like Hamood-ur-Rehman Commission which was set up for the probe of Dhaka fall. He said that the operators of this whole conspiracy against the descendents of the makers of Pakistan, brutal operation against them, and genocide on mass scale of those who were loyal to Pakistan, must be brought to justice by establishing the cases of high treason, conspiracy, and murders against them. The Patron-in-Chief further demanded of the high officials to probe into as to find out if the map of Jinah Pur shown on TV and published in newspapers during the Operation 92 was not made by MQM and was not discovered from MQM offices, then who graphed the said map and on the whims of whom? He added that this is very sad that the media which were publishing the map and photos of fake torture cells on their front pages were content to publish the negation only in there deep inside pages with 2 lined single column news. The meeting was also addressed by the Patron MQM USA Ibad Rehman who said that after the massacre of 15000 innocent people and after the lapse of 17 years the operators are calling us brothers but merely calling us brothers will not help in getting the culprits refuge and the crime has to pay. Ibad Rehman further said that MQM was always loyal for this country and the time has proved that and this will be only MQM in future too which will fight for the existence of Pakistan at all costs. At the end of the meeting the Central Organizer MQM USA Kamal Zafar declared the Friday, August 28, 2009 the “Day of the Prayers” and insisted on the workers and office bearers of MQM USA to observe this day in their localities by holding prayers for the martyrs of the said operation in mosques and in their meetings.
