The Day of 19th June, 1992 Did Not Deter MQM From Its Cause; It Actually Gave MQM And Its Workers A Reason To Persist: Muttahida Quami Movement, USA

Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Los Angeles; June 19, 2009: The Central Organizer Kamal Zafar and the members of The Central Organizing Committee, MQM USA have said in a statement issued today that the operation of 19th June, 1992 on MQM and its workers has not deterred them from the cause of truth and justice, but actually it has given them a reason to persist. They said that the magnitude of the operation of 1992 launched on innocent people of Karachi and MQM workers was enough to crush an organization of any size; however, it was the magnificent leadership of MQM that led the organization and its workers through that ordeal, and MQM emerged out of that operation even stronger. The office bearers of MQM USA said that the operation of 1992 was nothing but a huge conspiracy of the troika of feudal lords, self-purported religious leaders, and the bureaucracy against the only voice of the 98% deprived stratum of the country. They added that the philosophy of Realism and Practicalism of the leader of MQM Altaf Hussain is the future destiny of the oppressed of this country. They further said that with the implementation of this philosophy, the poor and oppressed will prevail. They reiterated that MQM and its workers under the guidance and leadership of Mr. Altaf Hussain are determined to bring a change; a change that will transform the life of the poor and browbeaten, and tomorrow’s Pakistan will belong to the 98% exploited stratum.
