Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Los Angeles; July 16, 2009: Responding to and endorsing the concerns of Rabita Committee (Coordination Committee) of MQM, The Central Organizer Kamal Zafar and the members of the Central Organizing Committee, MQM USA have expressed their severe concerns over the defamation efforts against MQM by a particular group of Journalists and have termed their efforts based on extreme professional dishonesty. They said in a statement issued today that the Journalists are the face of the society but when they are involved in yellow journalism with ulterior motives behind it, they often prove to be fatal for the values of the society. They said that all these efforts are to distort the image of MQM and malign the reputation of MQM. They said that this is the same group of journalists that was active during the time of  Operation 1992 which was carried against MQM. They said that this is an organized conspiracy against MQM. However, they reiterated that these efforts of distorting the image of MQM will fail as MQM belongs to the stratum of common men of Pakistan. They also asked the workers and supporters of MQM to remain beware of this conspiracy and must expose this in their relevant circles.
