Sun Charity USA Holds Fundraising Telethon on ARY Digital to Help Flood Victims
The Enthusiasm and Fervor of the Donors was Worth-Watching

 

Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; New York; August 21, 2010: The Sun Charity USA held a fundraising telethon on ARY digital with the cooperation of Pakistan Club USA, Pakistan American Business Association and several other organizations on Saturday August 21, 2010. The telethon lasted for 3 hours from 4 pm to 7 pm and remained jam-packed with the calls of the donors. The telethon was hosted by famous former PTV newscaster and currently Voice of America’s anchor Khalid Hameed, and was attended by the President of Sun Charity USA Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Executive Director of Sun Charity USA Ibad Rehman, Director Sun Charity USA Ajaz Siddiqui, several Pakistani Radio, film , and TV artists including actor Saud Qasmi, singers Tahseen Javed, Amjad Khan, Naeem Abbas Rufi, Neelofer Abbasi, famous travelogue writer Qamar Ali Abbasi, elites of Pakistan community including APNA’s Dr. Javed Sulaiman, Dr. Munir-ul-Imam, Dr. Noor Khan, and Karachi Club New York’s Vice President Dr. Tarique Ibrahim. The enthusiasm and the fervor of the donors were worth watching and they were all verbal in the praise of Sun Charity for rising up for a noble cause. They all said that they have faith in the integrity of Sun Charity and are confident that their donations will reach to the needy when they don’t have this confidence in the relief activities of the other organization including the official efforts. The Executive Director of Sun Charity USA Ibad Rehman elaborated in different session on the efforts and planning of Sun Charity USA for the help of the flood victims and said that the donations collected today will be used in the purchase of extremely important emergency supplies locally and in Pakistan for the needy flood victims and will be sent to them under the supervision of the office-bearers and volunteers of Sun Charity.
