MQM DELEGATION MET WITH THE NEXT US AMBASSADOR CONFIRMED TO PAKISTAN MS ANNE WOOD PATTERSON IN WASHINGTON

MQM delegation comprising of Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the
Caretaker of MQM North America and Mr. Ibad Ur Rehman, the incharge
of MQM USA Central Advisory Committee met with Ms Anne Woods
Patterson who has been confirmed as the next US Ambassador to
Pakistan. Ms Patterson was confirmed after the US Senate's Foreign
Relations Committee hearing chaired by former US Presidential
candidate Senator John Kerry.
During the informal meeting with the MQM delegate after the hearing and confirmation Ms Patterson discussed various issues of mutual interest including Pakistan's political situation, Pak-US relations, extremism in various parts of the country and the role of MQM in social, political and economical growth of Pakistan. The MQM delegate congratulated Ms Patterson on her confirmation as the new ambassador to Pakistan and offered her its full cooperation during her tenure in Pakistan. Ms Patterson has shown her interest in meeting with the MQM officials in Pakistan soon.
