MQM Delegation Meets With Holbrook and Other Officials of State Department in Washington

The Delegation Was Received at the Front Gate of The State Department by Holbrook

Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Washington; May 01, 2010: A high profile delegation of MQM comprising of the deputy Convener of MQM and member National Assembly of Pakistan Dr. Farooque Sattar met with the State Department’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrook and other high ranking officials of the State Department today in Washington. The delegation was received at the front gate of the central office of the State Department by Richard Holbrook and the other officials. In an hour long meeting, talking on affairs of mutual interest, internal and external threats to Pakistan, economic and financial situation of Pakistan, shortage of water and electricity in Pakistan, and many other issues pertaining to Pakistan, Dr. Farooque Sattar said that apart from the American cooperation in the resolution of these issues, the financial and economic situation of Pakistan can be helped with increased trade with Pakistan and access of Pakistani products and trade to the international markets. While elaborating on the importance of Pakistanis in America, Dr. Farooque Sattar said that one hand these responsible Pakistani American are participating in strengthening the American economy and on the other hand they are supporting Pakistani economy from here. Richard Holbrook and the other officials endorsed MQM’s Middle Order Government philosophy and said that the solution to the existing problems of Pakistan is hidden in this philosophy and the rule of the middle class can take Pakistan to the route of prosperity.
