WASHINGTON, Dec 26 (APP)-MQM's parliamentary leader in National Assembly Dr. Farooq Sattar and MQM USA's Central Organizer Ibad U. Rehman, in their separate statements have congratulated MQM USA and thanked Governor Sindh Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan for his support to the mega project of Tipu Sultan University of Management Sciences (TSUMS), being set up in Karachi. The initiative will help promote cause of quality higher education in the field of management sciences.A press release issued here Thursday said MQM USA’s delegation led by Farhat Khan met Governor Ishratul Ebad in Karachi to discuss and finalize a university project in Karachi, launched in collaboration with the Wayne State University of Detroit, Michigan. Other members of the delegation included Saeed Rizvi from Michigan and Jamil Qazi from South Florida units. MQM's Parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Dr. Farooq Sattar was also present at the meeting. Mr. Farhat Khan and his team members explained to the Governor the details of this project, funding, resources, academia, location and course description. Governor Ebad praised the efforts made by MQM USA to inculcate highereducation in the province of Sindh. He instructed those concered to help effectively launch this university and provison of a location easily accessible to the common class of students. Governor Ebad thanked the board of directors of TSUMS for choosing Province of Sindh for this project. The delegation briefed Governor Ebad that this project is being jointly launched with the help of Wayne State University, Khidmat-e-Khalq Committee USA and MQM USA. This university will offer bachelor and Master level education in engineering management sciences and on non-political and non-profit basis. An understanding has been reached for proposed curriculum and teaching staff, and that a board of directors will soon be formed comprising directors from USA, Pakistan and United Kingdom, the MQM announcement added.
