MQM USA Holds General Body Meeting to Mourn the assassination of Dr. Imran Farooq

Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; New York; September 18, 2010: Muttahida Quami Movement USA held a General Body Workers Tele-Meeting today to mourn the assassination of the former Convener MQM Dr. Imran Farooq and to offer prayers for the martyrs of MQM including Dr. Imran Farooq. The meeting was attended by the Patron-in-Chief MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Senior Vice Coordinator International Affairs MQM Mohammad Younus, MPA Sindh Moeed Siddiqui, Patron MQM USA and Canada Ibad Rehman, the Central Organizer MQM USA Kamal Zafar, members of the Central Organizing Committee MQM USA, office-bearers, and workers of the local chapters of MQM USA, Office-bearers and workers of all subsidiary wings of MQM USA, supporters of MQM, and a large number of people from the cross section of Pakistani community living in USA. The speakers including Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Mohammad Younus, Moeed Siddiqui, Ibad Rehman, and Kamal Zafar elaborated on the life and struggle of Dr. Imran Farooq in the cause of Truth and Justice and said that Dr. Imran Farooq was the man of principles and gave his life for the principles. The speakers also said that Dr. Imran Farooq played a vital and pivotal role in the formation and propagation of MQM and its philosophy and the gap that has incurred after his death is not easy to fill. They also said that each and every worker of MQM is standing by the side of the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain at this time of test and will aid to strength at this vulnerable moment. The forum also extended their condolence to the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain, the workers of MQM globally, and to the family of Dr. Imran Farooq. They also wished that a fair inquiry into the matter will bring the culprits of the assassination of Dr. Imran Farooq to justice. At the end of the meeting MPA Sindh Moeed Siddiqui offered prayers on behalf of the forum for the best abode for the departed soul.
