MQM USA Remembers Sohrab Goth Incident of 1986 on a Painful Note

Communication & media Cell, MQM USA; New York; October 31, 2010: The Central Organizer MQM USA Kamal Zafar, and the members of the Central Organizing Committee, MQM USA have said that the people of Karachi are still facing the Sohrab Goth Mishap like incidents one way or the other, and the people behind target killings belong to the same mafia that was responsible for the massacre of innocent people of Karachi at Sohrab Goth on October 31st, 1986. The office bearers of MQM USA remembered the Sohrab Goth incident of 1986 on a painful note in a statement today that commemorates the ugly incident of Sohrab Goth Massacre where on October 31, 1986 dozens of innocent workers of MQM were killed and numerous were injured. They said that the similar attack are still being done on the workers of MQM under the target killings and indiscriminate firing incidents take the lives of the innocent people of Karachi on a daily basis. They said that all these efforts are to sabotage the peace of Karachi, to intimidate the workers of MQM, and to punish the people of Karachi for extending support to a party and leader Mr. Altaf Hussain who raises voice for justice and truth. They maintained that still today the same mafia is operative behind the efforts of destabilization of the peace of Karachi even after 24 years. The office bearers of MQM USA reiterated that the workers of MQM were able to defend people of Karachi 24 years ago, and are able to defend people of Karachi today too. They said that they are united and under the leadership of Mr. Altaf Hussain and will fight against these conspiratorial devices against the people of Karachi and for all oppressed of Pakistan. They also paid tribute to the martyrs of Sohrab Goth Mishap and prayed to almighty God for blessings on them and their souls to be placed in eternal peace.
