Special Security Measures Should be deployed for the Leader of MQM in London
Office-Bearers of MQM North America Demand in a Letter Written to British PM

security measures for the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain in London. This demanded has been submitted in a letter written to the British PM in the perspective of dangers and threats to the lives of the high profile leadership of MQM including Mr. Altaf Hussain after the assassination of the convener of MQM Dr. Imran Farooq two weeks ago in front of his residence in northern London. The letter that was issued with the joint signatures of the Patron-in-Chief, MQM North America, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Patron, MQM North America, Ibad Rehman, and the Central Organizer MQM USA Kamal Zafar, says that the philosophy of the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain is aimed at the empowerment of the common class of Pakistan, and at the eradication of the obsolete feudal system and the religious extremism. And the top leadership of MQM and Mr. Altaf Hussain has the threats from the same elements. The office-bearers of MQM have said in their letter that the office-bearers and workers of MQM around the globe have the apprehensions for life of their beloved leader Mr. Altaf Hussain especially after the assassination of Dr. Imran Farooq. They have also said in their letter that the peace and prosperity in the world heavily depends on the peace and prosperity in Pakistan that in turn depends on the elimination of the obsolete non-democratic political system and the extremism of all kinds. They said this can only be achieved if Mr. Altaf Hussain is safe and secure and continues to guide the workers of MQM to bring this change in Pakistan. They also said in their letter to the British premier that the Great Britain has a long standing tradition of providing safety to the asylum seekers and refuge seekers to those who are not safe in their native countries due to political reasons. They have further said that those elements that were at their best in Pakistan to pose threats of life to the leadership of MQM are also active abroad now, as is evident with the brutal murder of Dr. Imran Farooq in London. The office-bearers of MQM North America have requested the British Prime Minister with reference to their tradition of providing safety and security to people under threat, to deploy special arrangements for the safety and security of Mr. Altaf Hussain in London by providing official security protocol to him at his residence, during his movements, and at the MQM International Secretariat in London. They said to the Prime Minster that the office-bearers and workers of MQM around the globe will be thankful to the Pm and the British nation for taking these steps.
