MQM Chicago Holds Meeting to Mourn the Assassination of Dr. Imran Farooq

 

Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Chicago; September 20, 2010: MQM Chicago held meeting exclusively for workers in the MQM USA Central Office at Devon Street, Chicago to mourn the assassination of Dr. Imran Farooq. The meeting was also attended, besides the workers of MQM Chicago, the Patron, MQM Greater Chicago Area Wakeel Jamali and the Joint Central Organizer MQM USA Junaid Fahmi. The organizers of the meeting also put a condolence book at the entrance of the office where all the workers wrote their feelings about the departure of Dr. Imran Farooq from this world. There was also a slide show and a documentary video of around 20 minutes in the meeting on the life and struggle of Dr. Imran Farooq. The main feature of this mourning meeting was the telephonic address of the Patron-in-Chief of MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. Those who also spoke at the meeting, besides the organizers, include wakeel jamali and Junaid Fahmi. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said in his address that no one can be labeled as a complete worker with all the required features in him except Dr. Imran Farooq who was a portrait of the struggle and resolve in his own self. He further said that Dr. Imran Farooq lived for the workers and the movement and died for the movement. He added that Dr. Farooq lived among the workers throughout his whole life and died to meet thousands of the martyred workers. At the end of the meeting Fatiha and prayers were offered by Shamim Siddiqui and Javed Riaz who prayed for the best abode for Dr. Imran Farooq and other martyrs of the movement in the paradise.
