Pakistan Club USA arranges a series of Informational Sessions for Muslim Noble Alliance (MNA) Chicago

Session 1

 

Commuincation & Media Cell, MQM USA; Chicago; October 14, 2010: The Muslim National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives Alliance (MNA) Chicago Chapter and Pakistan Club collectively arranged the first informational seminar of a series of six at Sabri Banquet Hall in Chicago on Wednesday, October 6th, 2010 to provide the community with the opportunity to receive first hand information about the agency’s mission and objectives. The first session of the series of six was presented by the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection and the topics discussed was “Overview of Customs and Border Protection”. Officer Rick Wysocki discussed in detail the overview of Customs and Border Protection’s role and duties with the help of a slideshow. Robin Dessaure, Field Director of DHS, in her address said NOBLE’s job is to ensure equity in the administration of justice in the provision of public service to all communities (particularly for Muslims), and to serve as the conscience of law enforcement by being committed to justice by action. The goal of NOBLE is to be recognized as a highly competent, public service organization that is at the forefront of providing solutions to law enforcement issues and concerns, as well as to the ever-changing needs of our communities. Lastly, there was a question and answer session held to find out the evaluation of the session. The attendees participated and the foremost question and demand was that the US government should announce immigration amnesty to Pakistanis living here in USA, like they announced for the victims of Haiti, and so on. In response to a request of Robin Dessaure, Field Director of DHS, Jawaid Riaz of Pakistan Club thanked the volunteer that PC provided to NOBLE (MNA). The program was attended by a good number of people, community leaders, and officials, Chief Eugene Williams, Chicago PD, Deputy Chief Demetrius Cook, Evanston PD, Sanjay Yadav, Tariq Siddiqui, Junaid Fahmi, Wakeel Jamali, Raja Razzaq, Abdul Wahid Butt, Dr. Nafees Quadri, Dr. Mehnaz Quadri and Dr Naveen.
