Chicago Unit and International Division arrange a historical Candle Light
Vigil Rally and Fatiha, In the remembrance of 8th Oct 2005 Earthquake victims.
Sunday Oct 8 community people attended this important occasion, In the beginning
all present people light their candle and came on the main Ave Devon Ave.
Alderman Mr. Bernard stone gave his best remarks for K.K.C/SUN Also Earthquake
victims. Younus Bhai gave briefing on Earthquake Shuhadas and MQM relief
activities. KKC/SUN Incharge Shamim Siddiqui and Chicago Unit Incharge Junaid
Fahmi were present along with Chicago unit workers.
Rally Many other organization participate in the Rally. Federation of Suburban
Pakistanis, Hamdard foundation, Midwest Business Alliance, Midwest Asian
American Center, Pakistani Business Association, Pakistan Times, Sada-e-Pakistan,
Pakistan News, Sargum Radio, Radio programe DIL SE. Moulana Makki pray for earth
quake victims and shuhadas, After the pray iftari was served.
At the end of the event MQM Chicago unit observed one-minute silence in memory
of those who had lost their lives in the devastating earthquake of 8
October 2005.
