MQM's Women wing of Washington DC arranged an Eid Mela at O's Place.

MQM Washington DC unit's women wing in association with KKC Washington DC chapter has held an Eid Mela at the O's Place Restaurant in Alexandria. The event was a great success as it attracted hundreds of people from around the tri-state area of DC, VA and MD. The mela started at 7:00 PM and went on till early morning. There were over ten stalls fo Mehndi, Bengals, Dresses, Food and other Eid related items. Several dignitries have attended the mela including PIA's chief in Washington Region Mr. Khalid Hameed, Voice of America's senior correspondent Mr. Razi Ahmed Rizvi, various attorneys, doctors and other professionals and their families.

A number of attendees have donated to KKC's appeal for Zakat and Fitra and at the same time the KKC management contributed to needy people right on the spot. MQM USA's Central Organizing committee has commended the efforts of women wing and asked them to continue their good work.
