Sun Charity USA and Pakistan Club USA hold Fund Raising Dinner in Washington DC

Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Washington DC; August 22, 2010: A coalition of Sun Charity USA and well known community based social organization Pakistan Club USA organized Fundraising Dinner as one of the several initiatives to help Flood victims of Pakistan. After a successful telethon on ARY last  weekend, this fundraising event was another huge success in raising fund. A large number of Pakistani communities from all walks of life attended the event and donated generously during the event. the main feature of the event was the presence of the Provincial Minister of Sindh for Youth Affairs Mr. Faisial Sabzwari as the chief guest who said while addressing to the participants of the event that the damages and devastation of this historical flood is way larger than the cumulative destruction caused by Tsunami of 2004 or Earthquake of Kashmir in 2005 and Earthquake in Haiti. He appreciated the efforts of Pakistani community in USA to help flood victims in association with Sun Charity USA and Pakistan Club. He endorsed the services of Mr. Siddique Shaikh, a well know figure of Pakistani community in Washington DC-Virginia area, and Chairman of Pakistani American Businessmen Association (PABA) and also congratulated him on his appointment as the member of Board of Governors for  Overseas Pakistani Foundation on behalf of Prime Minister of Pakistan. The provincial minister also announced the launching of Youth wing of MQM Washington DC Chapter and congratulated Shafaq Sami on being appointed as Incharge of the wing. The Executive Director Sun Charity Ibad Rehman and Director Sun Charity Ajaz Siddiqui also spoke to the gathering and elaborated on the efforts and scope of the Sun Charity and appealed to the members of the Pakistani community to donate generously in flood relief fund of Sun Charity, USA. The Program that was conducted by Syed Kafeel Ahmad Qadri concluded at dinner.
