Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Maryland; May
4th, 2009: The flag-bearers of civil societies should raise their
voices against dual judicial systems of justice in the same country. Tha
Patron, MQM USA, Ibad Rehman expressed his views in a seminar organized
by various Pakistani American associations that was held in Maryland. The
major political parties of Pakistan namely MQM, PPP and the PML-N were all
in attendance as well as a great majority of Pakistani residents of Maryland
and Virginia.
Mr. Javed Mansoor, a senior leader of PPP, defended Nizam-e-Adl
regulation (NAR) on behalf of the Government of Pakistan. Tha Patron,
MQM USA, Ibad Rehman said that Nizam-e-Adl has brought Pakistan to the
brink of destruction. Extremists have no religion! The majority of the
Taliban are foreigners; therefore, they keep their faces hidden. He appealed
to the patriotic Pakistanis and members of civil societies to raise their
collective voice against this system of force and oppression. This is
a war between Stone-age and civilization. He further said that The Leader
of MQM, Mr. Altaf Hussain was the first to reject this religious extremism
and the MQM was the first party to reject this so called system of justice.
The people in attendance overwhelmingly praised the stance MQM has taken
and many among them promised their cooperation in this struggle. |
