October 21st 2011; Dallas chapter of MQM USA launched the membership drive
2011-12 On Sunday October 16th 2011.
At the occasion people from all walks of life joined MQM and support the
ideology of the party.
MQM parliamentarian Mr. Tayyab Hussain was also present along with the
members of central organizing committee Mr. Irshad Kamali and Mr. Asad
Siddqi.
Mr. Tayyab Hussain highlighted the importance of the ideology of “middle
class rule” in Pakistan and said that representatives from elite class have
no interest in solving common public issues in or outside the Parliament.
He said that the tragedy of Pakistan is that all the rulers who ruled the
country in last 64 years did not show faith or trust on the talent and
abilities of common Pakistani. These rulers have made the policies according
to the dictating terms they have been getting from foreign powers and these
policies have nothing to do with the betterment of Pakistan. He said
that MQM is the only political force in the country that has the agenda,
will and real manifesto to serve the common people of Pakistan.
He further said that those forces like PML (N) has always portrayed MQM as a
culprit because they are afraid of the popularity of the party but they
never hesitate to approach MQM to join the government when they need the
number count to form a government. He said that the only purpose of MQM to
sit in the government is to support the democratic system in Pakistan and to
bring peace and stability in Sindh, especially in Karachi. He said while
explaining the strategy of MQM that sometimes we have to pay off smaller
debts to avoid worst scenarios.
In the end he asked overseas Pakistanis to come forward and bring their
efforts, abilities and resources to Pakistan for the development of the
country. The event was attended by many social and community representatives
from the city of Dallas.
