The workers of the MQM Dallas and Houston units together with the volunteers of the Khidmat-e-Khalq Committee of MQM United States have jointly participated and volunteered their services to provide assistance, Water-Sabeel, and Niaz to participants for the Ashura procession in Dallas. Dallas Unit and Houston Unit worked jointly to organize such an immense event. This procession is held every year by Dallas local religious organizations however, MQM working on the philosophy of keeping religious harmony among people provide its volunteers for such events.

Water-Sabeel was placed before the start of the procession to provide drinks to people and Niaz (Food) at the end which fetch lot of people to Khidmat-e-Khalq committee’s stall including men, women, and children. Procession went around the surrounding streets of Dallas City Hall. KKC workers also walk along with the procession providing assistance in prayers and ziyaraat.

Every participant including local religious organizations, religious scholars that were attending the procession and specially women praised MQM for good deeds and arrangements. One elderly person who is residing in Dallas for 30 years came to KKC stall and thank everyone present for arranging such an event. Moreover he also said that MQM is the only political party of Pakistan who is practically working for betterment of people of Pakistan. In the end, local organization asked KKC to carry out same arrangements in next year’s procession. It is pertinent to note that the famous TV news channel 8 broadcasted KKC’s camp activities live from the venue of the procession.

KKC USA’s incharge Tayyab Hussain and MQM USA’s central organizer Ibad U. Rehman have congratulated Houston and Dallas unit committees for their efforts in disseminating Quaid-e-Tehrik Altaf Hussain’s philosophy of religious tolerance and harmony.
