An Evening with Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussein in Maimi (Jan-22-06)

 Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) S.Florida organized an evening with Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain Minister of State for Religious affairs, Zakat & Ushr Gov. of Pakistan. The Caretaker of MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Bhai Joint organizer MQM USA Farhat Khan Bhai and member central committee Moid Siddiqui Bhai were also present.

Nafees Baji hosted program. Program starts at 8:55 with Tilawaat e Quran by Inam Khan. After recitation of Holy Quran, S. Ali Kazmi recited a “NAAT” (PBUH), which was appreciated by the audience. In jam-packed hall, MQM Unit-In-charge Kashif Arsalan Bhai welcome the audiences and thanked the community for taking interest in this fund raising event. Moeed Siddiqui Bhai Member Central organizing committee informed the audience about Ideology of MQM and its Quaid Altaf Hussain. He mentioned that how these fund-raising events that were organized from east coast to west coast were effective and beneficial for the victims of earthquake.

Farhat Khan Bhai Joint organizer MQM USA highlighted the role of MQM as a revolutionary organization. He emphasized that The Khidmat-e-Khalq Committee (KKC) is a highly organized, active and effective social organization.  Its services are spread over a very wide spectrum, which not only includes Karachi, Hyderabad and other urban areas of Sindh, but also KKC is known throughout Pakistan for its social services. Although MQM has no intention to politicize or participate in elections from the Northern areas or Kashmir, what ever MQM has done & will do only for public service, which is the exact translation of "Khidmat-e-Khalq” Our politics is to serve humanity, He said the Muttahida, since its formation, is committed to serve the people practically and for that end it formed a non-political group - Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation, in Pakistan mainly to serve the people.

Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Bhai Nigran-E-Aala of MQM North America highlighted MQM’s point of view in the current political situation and also emphasized on the Relief and Rehabilitation work by MQM. He said Altaf Hussain always preaches to his associates that maximum and every possible help and assistance should be extended to the poor, needy and helpless people.

Chief Guest Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain started his impressive speech, in which he emphasized about the “ ITTEHAD-E BAINUL MUSLIMEEN” and urged the people to mould their lives according to the teachings of Islam and revive the spirit of unity among their ranks to safeguard the ideological and geographical frontiers of the country. He further stated that we have to forget the differences among us and have to be united as we have bigger common enemy in front of us. There is only one role model in Islam who is our beloved Prophet SAW. We need to follow his Sunnah and follow him on every aspect of life. Audiences were fascinated and mesmerized by the keynote address of the Chief Guest Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain Bhai, who answer questions from the public and recited some Naats in the end.

A small session of Auction was done very effectively by Moeed Siddiqui Bhai & Harris Usmani Bhai in which they auctioned the cricket bat of Moin Khan  (Famous wicket keeper Captain) and also shirts signed by Famous cricketers of Pakistan.

The enthusiasm of the participants was worth watching especially at the time of Pledges when Pakistani community living in Miami Dade, Broward & Palm Beach county area donated /pledges for more than 105 houses in earthquake affected areas, with the help of Harris Usmani.

At the end of the program, Mr. Farhat Khan Joint Organizer MQM USA thanked all prominent member of Pakistani community, especially Ex-MPA, S. Mohiuddin Bhai, and Mohd. Parvaiz Bhai In charge Florida Saeed Akhtar Bhai from Orlando/Tampa, Mr. Dr. Zahid Quraishi and his team of Nob Hill Mosque, Mr. Dr. Sultan, Mr.Ather Abbas Zaidi, Mr. Amin Markatia, Mr. Raza Jaffery, Mr. Ali Jaferi, Mr. Liaquat Bhai, Mr. Shahid Barry, Mr. S. Baqar Ali, Mr. Shabbir & Mr. Iqbal of IJA, mothers, sisters, elders, youngster for taking their time to attend this historic Fund Raising event. He also thanked Mr. Masood Akhtar from Urdu Times and Mr. Hassan Askari for their special co-operation and support. He also thanked Management of Mehfil Restaurant for their co-operation. He also congratulated Unit In charge Kashif Arsalan, Unit committee and all the worker and supporter to arrange such a historic gathering.
