Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Florida, organized a historic Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and celebrated with fervor

Ft. Lauderdale: On Sunday, 23 May 2004, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Florida, organized the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) at Sophia Ballroom in Florida. Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated with solemnity and religious fervor. Ulema, Religious scholars, Na’at Khwans and a mammoth gathering of the public that included women, youths and elders of all schools of thought attended the congregation.

MQM Unit-In-charge Kamran Haider welcomed and inaugurated the conference. Mohsin Bhaiji recited the Holy Quran. Na’at Khawans Wasi Ahmed, Inam Khan, Mohammad Ali Kazmi, Syeda Khatoon and Saeed Akhtar recited Na’ats (PBUH). Ulema and scholars Dr. Zafar Mohiuddin Al-Qadri, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Mulana Hafiz Zia-ul-Haq from the different parts of Florida and Mulana Sarkar Mehdi from India attended the conference and threw light on the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). These religious scholars highlighted different aspects of the Uswa-e-Hasnah.

Ulema and scholars urged the people to mould their lives according to the teachings of Islam and revive the spirit of unity among their ranks to safeguard the ideological and geographical frontiers of the country. Ms. Nafees Hasan did effective comparing of the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

At the end of the program, Mr. Farhat Khan member Organizing committee of MQM USA, thanked all Ulema, Religious scholars, Na’at Khwans,  prominent member of Pakistan community Mr. Zafeer Siddiqui, Mr. Amin Markatia, Mr. Raza Jaffery, Mr. Liaquat Bhai, Mr. Syed Jaffery, Mr. Shahid Barry, mothers, sisters, elders, youngster for taking their time to attend this historic Eid-e-Milad-un Nabi. He also thanked Mr. Masood Akhtar from Urdu Times and Awam newspaper, Pakistan Post for their special co-operation and support. He also thanked Management of Sophia’s Ballroom Mr. Riaz and Mr. Kassim for their co-operation. He also congratulated Unit In charge Kamran Haider and Unit committee and all the worker and supporter to arrange such a historic gathering.

The Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) organized by the MQM Florida was the biggest program organized in the history of the city. People who were in attendance at the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) have expressed there views about the program that they have never witnessed such a beautiful, big and well organized Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) in this city. MQM USA's Central Organizer  Ibad Ur Rehman and the central organizing committee have commended and admired all those who had participated in the organizing of the historic Mehfil-e-Mustafa (PBUH). They specially praised the efforts of Unit Incharge Kamran Haider and his Unit Committee, workers and all others who had participated in the historic program of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).


Highlights of Program:
· A marvelously well-decorated stage was erected for the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
· On the left side of the stage arrangements were made for the ladies.
· Before the program Isha Prayer was performed
· The program of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) started at 8:30p.m. EST
· The renowned religious scholar Dr. Zulfaqar Ali Shah (Ph.D. in Comparative Religion) addressed to the public.
· Dr. Zafar Mohiudin Al-Kadri (Jamma Al-Azhar) gave an informative speech.
· Famous Scholar, Poet from India Mulana Sarkar Mehdi specially came to deliver speech.
· Mulana Hafiz Zia-ul-Haq specially came from Tampa to attend this program.
· EX-MPA Mr. Syed Mohiuddin and Mr. Farhat Khan member of MQM USA Organizing Committee remained present throughout the program.
· The program continued until the mid night.
· Food was served after the program.
· Special prayer was offered for the solidarity, prosperity and integrity of the country.
