In his state-of-the-politics address Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui held the feudal system, backed by all religious and pseudo-political parties of Pakistan, responsible for all the oppression and deprivation for the common men of Pakistan. Nonetheless, he said, one political party still exists in Pakistan which is striving at its best for the rights of 98% deprived and that is MQM. He said that this is the vision and honesty of the leader of MQM Quaid e Tehreek Altaf Hussain That a youth, then born in the slumps of Karachi is now Nazim e Karachi, and an official guest of the State Department of United States of America. He insisted on the adoption of the prescription of “Realism and Practicalism” prescribed by Quaid e Tehreek Altaf Hussain and said that this is the only remedy for the problems of common men in Pakistan.

Nazim e Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal depicted, in his address, the progress and development of Karachi during the tenure of current city government of Karachi. However, he also apprised the community of the problems which his government is facing due to ineffectiveness of previous city governments in Karachi. He said that it is very unfortunate that he still has to concentrate on the basic problems like provision of drinking water and sewerage system while he is planning to cope with the challenges of 21st century. He said that these basic problems should have been solved may be 50 years ago. He said, due to the shear absence of infra-structure in Karachi, a large sum of budget is consumed for building the infra-structure and that is only because no body planned for any master plan for such a huge and mega dwelling. He said that the present city government of Karachi has served all the inhabitants of Karachi equally without any prejudice of nationality and political affiliation and they have done so on the wishes and instructions of Quaid e Tehreek Altaf Hussain who wanted even those to be served equally who never voted for Muttahida Quami Movement.

The evening assimilated in the night and practically came to an end after the change of the date.
