Fund Raising Dinner With Dr. Aamir Liaquat In New York. (Dec-27-2005)

The fund raising dinner in New York on the night of Dec 23, 2005 stood out to be a mega success. The event attended by more than 650 people hosted by MQM USA New York Unit in collaboration with the New Jersey Unit and the Youth Wing of MQM USA featuring Federal Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Anchor of Famous GEO TV show “Alim Online” Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, famous Pakistani TV star Ayaz Khan and Ghazal Singer Munni Begum reflected a colorful and beautiful mix of the Pakistani community in tri state area. While the event was attended by Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Bhai, Nigran e Aala of MQM North America, Joint Central Organizer MQM USA Ferhat Bhai, members of Central Organizing Committee MQM USA Moid Bhai, Khalida Baji, Mehfooz Bhai, Arshad Hussian Bhai, MQM workers from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Philadelphia and Haq Parast community from tri state area, it was also attended by people from different factions of the community living New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Philadelphia including, physicians, surgeons, attorneys, engineers, pharmacists, journalists poets and businessmen. The event was also attended by social organizations like PLA (Pakistan League of America), PAPA (Pakistan American Pharmacist Association), Pakistanis for America and many more. The enthusiasm of the participants of the event was worth watching specially at the time of Pledges when pledges for more than 40 houses in earthquake affected areas was made and cash donation of thousands of dollars were made. At the occasion among the speakers were MQM New Jersey Unit Incharge Asad Siddiqui Bhai, MQM New York Unit Incharge Anwar Bhai, Joint Central Organizer MQM USA Ferhat Bhai, and Nigran e Aala MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Bhai who emphasized on the Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation work by MQM and elaborated the difference between SERVICE IN POLITICS and POLITICS IN SERVICE. The audience was mesmerized by the keynote address of the Chief Guest Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain and was charmed for hours by the performance of Ayaz Khan. The event culminated past 2:00 in the morning with the performance of Munni Begum.
