Deputy Parliamentary Leader of MQM in National Assembly Mr. Haider Abbas Rizvi Speaks On Provincial Autonomy in New York

Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; New York; July 25, 2009: Provincial Autonomy is the only solution of the political dilemma Pakistan is facing for decades and is the only way of creating a sense of trust in smaller provinces. This was said by the Deputy Parliamentary Leader of MQM in the National Assembly Mr. Haider Abbas Rizvi in a reception hosted by MQM New York in collaboration with Gahwarah-e-Adab New York in his honor. He said that the people of Pakistan have been a victim of discrimination and those nations who fall to discrimination can never produce their best. He said that the provincial autonomy will bring harmony and an environment of trust among the provinces and hatred will subside. The reception was attended by Patron-in-Chief, MQM North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, office bearers of MQM USA, office bearers and workers of MQM New York and Gahwarah-e-Adab New York, and a large number of people from a cross-section of Pakistani community including media personnel and other Pakistani political parties’ representatives. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said, while addressing at the reception, that MQM believes in equal rights and proration of the rights as per population has always been welcomed by the leaders of MQM. He said that provincial autonomy bill, produced by MQM, may play a role of magic wand which may cure all political ailments of the country. The other speakers at the reception include the Incharge of the host unit and the office bearers of MQM USA who welcomed and thanked the guests. The reception ended at dinner and was followed by poetry recitation event (Mushairah) organized by Gahwarah-e-Adab New York and was attended by all prominent poets of New York. The honored guest Mr. Haider Abbas Rizvi also participated in the poetry recitation and impressed the audience with his incredible poetic skills.
