Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; New York; September 20, 2010: Dr. Imran Farooq was the right hand of the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain and was his strength. Dr. Imran Farooq wrote the guiding principles for the workers of MQM; however, he was a true picture of these guiding principles in his own-self. These remarks were said by the former chairman of APMSO, former federal minister, and the Patron-in-Chief of North America Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui to pay tribute to Dr. Imran Farooq at a meeting held by MQM New York to mourn the assassination of Dr. Imran Farooq. The meeting that was held at a local restaurant, was attended by the office-bearers and workers of MQM New York, office-bearers of MQM USA, office-bearers and workers of MQM USA’s social, cultural, literary, sports, and youth wings active in New York, as well as personal friends of Dr. Imran Farooq, supporters of MQM, and members of Pakistani community in New York. They all paid tribute to the life and struggle of Dr. Imran Farooq for truth and justice. The people who spoke at the occasion including Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui , Incharge MQM New York Ali Kulli, Patron MQM New York Khursheed-ul-Haq, guests from province of Punjab including Mr. J. Javed and Mr. Abdul Rehman Awan, Coordinator Advisory Committee MQM New York Anis Siddiqui, famous real estate personality Liaquat Ali, member Central Helping Committee MQM USA Anjum Arif, and member Central Organizing Committee MQM USA Gul Mohammad paid high tributes to Dr. Imran Farooq and offered condolence to the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain, the workers of MQM globally, and the family members of Dr. Imran Farooq. While addressing the meeting Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that Dr. Imran Farooq was one of those who sow the seed of MQM along with the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain and this seed has turned into a robust tree now and that is just because if the sincerity and loyalty of the people like Dr. Imran Farooq with the cause. He said that Dr. Imran Farooq was a true follower of the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain and this utmost discipline made him a perfect worker. At the end of the meeting the member Advisory Committee MQM New York offered prayers and prayed to Allah that the departed soul be placed at the highest ranks in paradise.
