Detroit Chapter hosted a Tazyati Ijlaas on the occasion of 3rd death anniversary of Shaheed-E-Inqilab Dr. Imran Farooq.

With a heavy heart, Detroit Chapter hosted a Tazyati Ijlaas (Condolence Gathering) of MQM USA office bearers, workers and supporters on the occasion of 3rd death anniversary of Shaheed-E-Inqilab Dr. Imran Farooq.

The gathering was attended by member of MQM USA Central Organizing Committee Amir Qazi, Detrot Chapter In-Charge Nizam Mohammad, Communication & Media Cell Joint In-Charge Shariq Sajjad, accompanied by committee members of Detroit Chapter and local members of Pakistani diaspora.

Addressing the participants, Amir Qazi in his brief statement highlighted the life of Dr. Farooq, and paid tribute to his political journey which started in 1978, when Dr. Farooq helped established APMSO. Then in 1984, APMSO gave birth to the Mohajir Quami Movement (MQM), Dr. Farooq served as its first Secretary General and Convener. In 1988 and 1990, he was elected to the Pakistan National Assembly and became the Parliamentary Leader of the MQM. In conclusion to his statement, he recalled some of his interaction with Dr. Imran Farooq and described him as very humble, caring and visionary personality.

Furthermore, Nizam Mohammad went on to highlight MQM’s needless effort to catch culprit in this shameless act, which continues till present day. He elaborated that QeT Altaf Hussain named Dr. Imran Farooq a "Shaheed-e-Inqilab" (Martyr of Revolution) and termed the loss of Dr. Farooq as one of the biggest lost for the nation.

Lastly, a special prayer was held for condolence of Shaheed-E-Inqilab Dr. Imran Farooq, as all the attendees prayed to Allah that the departed soul be placed in the highest ranks in Paradise.
