Houston Karachi Sister city Association organizes forum to highlight media role in Pakistan

Houston Karachi Sister City Association (HKSCA) organized a forum on "IMPORTANCE OF MEDIA IN STRENGTHENING US-PAK RELATIONS”. 

The delegation of the journalists of the Karachi Press Club (KPC) which include senior news producer of GEO TV News Syed Azhar Hussain, bureau chief, Abbtak TV Alauddin Khanzada, chief reporter of Daily Jang Syed Minhaj ur Rab and visit coordinator and US Correspondent Geo and Jang Group Raja Zahid Khanzada were present.

US congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Outreach Liaison for congressman Al Green Mr. Sam Merchant, executive director for Houston Mayor Deanea Le Flore, consular General Mr. Afzaal Mahmood, Cynthia Cisneros of Channel 13 Houston, President Pakistan Policy Institute Mr. Matloob Ahmed, Mr. M.J Khan, Members of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce , MQM representative of Provincial Assembly Irum Farooqui, Turkish Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh Association, Pakistani Business community ,MQM Chapter, PPP Chapter, PTI Chapter ,PMLN Chapter and the media personals.

While speaking to the attendees, Irum Farooqui highlighted the role of media in Pakistan. She said that to bring the change in Pakistani society media has a long way to go. She said that Metropolitan city “Karachi” has no Local Government setup, due to which people are suffering the most. In the end she thanked Pakistani Americans who are working to promote Pakistan’s image among different communities.
