The Day of Independence Requires Some Pondering Over the State of the Nation
Politics & Differences must be set aside to save the Country
Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Los Angeles; August 14, 2010: This is the time for some pondering over the state of the nation; and the politics and differences must be set aside to save the country. This has been said in a congratulatory statement issued by MQM USA on the 63rd Independence Day of Pakistan in which the Central Organizer and the members of the Central Organizing Committee MQM USA have congratulated the nation on behalf of the workers and supporters of MQM USA. However, they have also said in their statement, this day also requires some thoughts and some pondering over the state of the affairs of the country and to see where we have reached in these 63 years. They said unfortunately, contrary to the progress of the other newly formed nations, its not that we did not progress, but, in fact, we have receded and lost the part of the country that had the major part of the population. They said that the country, even after 63 years of its inception, at this day of independence, is standing at the most vulnerable position, surrounded by external monsters like Taliban, and the internal phantoms of corruption and discrimination. They said that the politics of petty interests and differences has brought the country to the brim of disaster. They requested all countrymen to set aside the politics at this time and all the differences and make combined move for the progress and prosperity of the country.
