Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Chicago; January 24, 2010: MQM Chicago invited the Pakistani Business Community at a condemnation meeting to condemn the killing of innocent people, looting and Arson of billion of rupees of property in Karachi on the Day of Ashur. Mohammad Younus Senior Vice-Coordinator International Affairs MQM addressed the meeting and appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take sue Moto action on the incident of bomb blast and looting and arson of Bolton Market and other markets in Karachi on the sacred Day of Ashur last year. He appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to announce a judicial commission comprising of Supreme Court Judges to investigate the incident. Junaid Fahmi, Joint Central Organizer MQM USA also addressed the condolence meeting and prayed for the victim families of Karachi Mishap and appealed to the City Government of Karachi for immediate restoration, relief, and rehabilitation of the affected businesses. Patron MQM Chicago Wakeel Jamali also addressed the meeting and termed the Karachi bomb blast incident an act of terrorism and a heinous conspiracy to disturb the peace of the city of Karachi. MQM and Memom Business Community leaders also appealed to investigate and expose the terrorists responsible for the Karachi Incident to find out who was responsible for the looting and arson of billions of rupees worth of properties. Incharge MQM Chicago Chapter Sohail Shams also demanded that the nation wants to know who is patronizing these criminal elements. The condolence meeting was also addressed by Prof. Masroor Qureshi, Editor Urdu Times Chicago and Incharge Gahwarah-e-Adab USA, community leader Sadaruddin Noorani, business community leaders, Imran Aziz and senior community leader Hameed Ullah Khan, who termed the Karachi incident as a conspiracy to disturb the economy of the City of Karachi and destabilize the country. The speakers appealed to all nationalities of Pakistan to unite and stay put together to fight the terrorism.
