Jashn-e-Eid-Milad-un-Nabi by MQM USA Chicago Chapter

Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Chicago; March 18, 2010:  MQM Chicago organized Mehfil-e-Milaad (recitation of poetry and prose in reverence of the birth of Prophet Muhammad PBUH) to celebrate Jashn-e-Eid-Milad-un-Nabi, birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event was held with religious fervor and reverence and the commitment of the attendees to tread lives in the light of the principles laid down by Prophet Muhammad PBUH. On this occasion Ms. Najma Asif, Ms. Ainee, Ms. Sana Shahid and Ms.Shaheen recited the Naat (praising Prophet Muhammad PBUH in poetry) and Darood (greetings of peace on Prophet Muhammad PBUH). Ms Najma Asif, Ms. Riffat and Ms. Sana Shahid presented Darood o Salam for the Holy Prophet (Peace Be upon Him), and Ms Shaheena Jamil recited the Hamd (praising God in poetry). The women speakers also highlighted the Seerat (life of Prophet Muhammad PBUH), and said that the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are a foundation to achieve peace and security and lead Muslims to a new phase of progress and prosperity, and life of Holy Prophet (PBUH) is like an open book with universal principles for the world to achieve peace and harmony. In the end the sweets were distributed among the attendees and dinner was also served.
