Pakistan Club USA arranges a series of Informational Sessions for Muslim Noble Alliance (MNA) Chicago
Session # 2: Customs & Border Protection (Continued)


The Muslim National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives Alliance (MNA) Chicago chapter and Pakistan Club arranged the second informational seminar of a series of six at Sabri Banquet Hall in Chicago on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 to provide the community with the opportunity to receive first hand information about the agency’s mission and objectives. The Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection presented the second session of the series of six and the topic discussed was “Why are you taking my food”. Chief Agriculture Specialist Passenger Operations Niloufer Aziz discussed in detail the overview of Customs and Border Protection’s role and duties with the help of a slideshow. Robin Dessaure, Field Director of DHS, in her address said NOBLE’s job is to ensure equity in the administration of justice in the provision of public service to all communities (particularly for Muslims), and to serve as the conscience of law enforcement by being committed to justice by action. The attendees participated in a question and answer session and showed concerns about immigration amnesty to Pakistanis living here in USA on a humanitarian basis. Tariq Siddiqui promised to bring these types of programs to help the community and urged the community to come forward and show their dedication to Muslims Noble Alliance (MNA).

Junaid Fahmi of Sun Charity USA Coordinator presented a copy of the letter which was already delivered to the US ambassador for Pakistan, in Islamabad by Overseas Minister, Dr. Farooq Sattar, on the subject of Temporary Residents Adjustment  for illegal people living here. Jawaid Riaz of Pakistan Club promised to keep providing volunteers to NOBLE (MNA) for their upcoming. The names of the volunteers are Dr. Mehtab Akhtar, Khalid Khan, Haris and Khurram Jabbar. A good number of people, community leaders and officials, Sanjay Yadav, Officer Jose Venegas, Chief Anye White, Officer Anna Garrido, Junaid Fahmi, Wakeel Jamali, Raja Razzaq, Abdul Wahid Butt, Hameed Ullah Khan, Dr. Nafees Quadri, Dr. Mehnaz Quadri, Dr Naveen Aman, Asif Khan, Mohammad Mushtaq and Tariq Siddiqui attended the program.
