Communication & Media Cell, MQM USA; Washington DC; June 6, 2009: MQM Washington D.C. Chapter celebrated APMSO’s 31st anniversary of “Yaum-e-Tasees” (The Foundation Day) in Chantilly, Virginia on June 5, 2009.  While the event was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life and different political affiliations, this was also attended by the office-bearers of MQM Washington DC/ Virginia, and MQM USA, and two visiting Minas from Pakistan Mrs. Fouzia Ejaz Khan (MQM’s MNA), and Marvi Memon (an MNA from Pakistan Muslim League “Q”). Both of the MNAs shared one genuine and only one vision, which is to make Pakistan a better and safe place to live and a true representation of Islam. Their message to the community here in the USA was to bring awareness and understanding of Pakistan in the American people. Marvi Memon praised and admired the organization and team work of MQM and congratulated us.

During his address at the event, the Patron MQM USA, Ibad Rehman said that he had directly told to MNA Marvi Memon about the atrocities of Army and Rangers during the operation of June 19th 1992. He also said that since the inception of APMSO and subsequently formation of MQM, the leadership and workers have passed through many tests. However, he reiterated that MQM is determined under the leadership of the leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain, to bring a change in Pakistan; a change that will change the lives of 98% oppressed common men. While he was talking about the operation of June 19 the whole environment was sad and emotional.

Mrs. Fouzia Ejaz Khan was presented a memorabilia by the In-charge of MQM Washington DC Chapter, followed by a dinner, which concluded the celebration party.
