MQM USA's Youth Wing Presents a Donation Check to UNICEF in New York. (June-05-2005)

MQM USA's Youth Wing led by its incahrge Aneeba Siddiqui visited United Nations' UNICEF head quarters in New York, presenting them with a generous check for its Tsunami relief efforts worldwide. This fund was generated through efforts made by the MQM USA's youth wing by organizing fund raisers.
Since 1947, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF has supported the work of the United Nations Children's Fund by raising support for its programs and increasing public awareness of the challenges facing the world's children. As the oldest of 37 national committees for UNICEF worldwide, the U.S. Fund is part of a global effort to advance humanity with health, education, equality and protection for every child.
More than four months have passed since last December's deadly tsunami swept across communities throughout the Indian Ocean region. In cooperation with governments and other partnering organizations, UNICEF is actively engaged in planning and supporting long-term restoration. UNICEF's strategy to "build back better" is helping to construct up-to-date schools and health-care facilities in each of the countries affected by the emergency.
"Now with MQM USA youth wing's support, we'll do even a better job" said Mr. Daniel, a senior official of the UNICEF in New York. MQM USA's central organizer and the central organizing committee also appreciated youth wing's thoughtfulness and efforts to help Tsunami victims.
