SUN USA Information Cell; Maryland; November 13th, 2011: SUN Charity USA’s Detroit chapter organized a fundraiser for the victims of the recent flood in Sindh and the dengue virus in Punjab in Pakistan. The event was held on November 12, 2011 at Lawrence Tech University in Detroit, Michigan. The night consisted of musical and comedic performances, the highlight of which was Pakistan’s “King of Comedy” Umer Sharif. Comedian Saleem Afridi also entertained the audience.

There was also a presentation about SUN Charity USA’s humanitarian relief efforts throughout not only the United States, but the world. Some of the projects that were highlighted in the presentation included SUN Charity USA’s work in Haiti and Pakistan.

Umer Sharif appealed to the attendees to assist SUN Charity USA in helping the victims of these tragedies.
